Apprenticeships at Cera open doors to new career pathways – from carers to clinicians, we're empowering the future workforce to achieve their full potential.

Cera celebrates National Apprenticeship Week every February to recognise the fantastic possibilities apprenticeships bring to individuals, our company and society. Care is more than just a job — it should be a career with real opportunities for growth and impact. As demand for health and social care grows, investing in skills has never been more important.

Through jobs that evolve, skills that endure, we are upskilling our workforce with transferable skills for life, from using digital tools to building confidence and resilience.

Cera is at the forefront of creating a new digitally empowered workforce, ready to take on the future of healthcare and improve service users lives.

We offer opportunities at every level, with apprenticeships available in entry-level roles, management positions and all the way up to the senior leadership team. Take Lorena, a Registered Manager with Cera, who grew a career that started as a carer, thanks to apprenticeships.

Empowering the care workforce of the future

Britain's health and social care sectors are facing a deepening crisis, estimated to need 1 million new workers by 2040 to support a rapidly ageing population, with half a million new workers needed in social care alone.

Recognising that a resilient, well-supported workforce is critical to the future of care, Cera is removing barriers, investing in skills development and creating career pathways to attract talent from outside the sector.

Apprenticeships are a key part of our wider strategy to create opportunities for carers to develop into clinical roles – also reflecting priorities outlined in the Government's 10-Year Plan for Health.

Back to Work

Cera's Back to Work Coalition supports unemployed and economically inactive adults into care roles – rebuilding lives, expanding the workforce and closing the digital skills gap.
